Knitting Lately
I haven’t had a lot of time lately for any of my hobbies, including this blog. However, I am not giving any of them up. I’ll simply continue to fit them into the corners of my life until I can, on some glorious, unlikely day in the future, live a life of leisure. I have managed to finish two knitting projects. Both of them were started spontaneously on bad days when I didn’t want to figure out too many new skills. The scarf is lovely and cheerful. I knitted a fair amount of it while watching very boring online trainings at work. The bra top turned out better than I…

Bright Spots in a Grey World
I am starting to think that the sun never shines in Ohio. We have had grey day after grey day for what seems like weeks now. The rain is endless and the lawn behind our building is a muddy quagmire. I walk through there to get to work and the other day I showed up at work with muddy shoes and mud splatters on my pants. Not a good look. I am currently contemplating a move to a sunnier location. However, then someone returned Wardrobe Embroidery, I flipped through it after discharging it, and now I am deep in a rabbit hole of embroidery stitches and needle sizes. I am not interested in doing embroidery projects to hang on my wall but I am all about embroidering little flowers on…

Crafty Things//A Refinished Table
I finally did it. I refinished my kitchen table and covered it in book pages. It isn’t perfect and if I did it again there are things I would change but, all in all, I am very happy with it. My table had a very damaged surface so something had to be done with it. I thought about just painting it but then I came across a tutorial online with gorgeous photos of a table covered in pages. I fell in love. I have quite a few books that have fallen apart and I have been using them for various crafts. I won’t deliberately destroy a book but ones that…
