A Few Reasons Autumn is Better Than Summer

Leaves. The colors, the smell, the crisp sound as you step on them, the way they dance through the air as they fall to the ground.
Pumpkin pie.
Cool, refreshing air when you wake up in the morning. And in the middle of the afternoon. And all night long. Have I mentioned a time or two that I hate humidity with a fiery passion?
Being able to go outside without melting into an angry, sweaty, lethargic puddle. Yes, I know a puddle can be those things because I have been that puddle.
Chrysanthemums.
Picking apples at the orchard and then coming home to make pie and applesauce.
Needing a blanket in the evening when you are sitting on the couch and reading your book.
Thinking a hot cup of tea might be nice too.
Sweatshirts, sweaters, layers, ankle boots.
Campfires.
Kayaking in the cool evening.
Soup.
Baking; bread and molasses cookies and did I mention pie?
Starting to think about buying a new planner for the next year. I can’t be the only one who spends way too long looking at them online and then buys one months too early. (I ordered my 2022 planner last night.)
Acorns.
Cool walks in the evening as the sun is setting and the sky is a myriad of colors.
Autumn days are the best days and that is just the way it is.
