A Quick Catch-Up

I have about five million posts I have been intending to write but somehow none of them are getting written. Instead, I spend too much time scrolling on Instagram and reading light and fluffy books. Not that there is anything wrong with light and fluffy books; I love them dearly. However, I don’t seem to have the mental capacity to do much else. One day, my time will come, I will be well-rested and you will get those five million posts.

In the meantime, here is a quick little catch-up while I wait for something to come out of the oven before I go to work. First of all, do you see that photo above? The leaves are starting to change and the days are cooling off. Well, supposedly they are; today is supposed to be 83 degrees which is not acceptable. I live for cool, crisp days.

When I left my last job two of my co-workers had just bought lockets from Marshall and Rose. I badly wanted one but we were in the middle of moving and I promised myself I would buy one as a reward whenever I got a new job. I promptly forgot all about it until a few weeks ago when I wanted a little treat. (As you all know, I am a firm believer in little treats.) It took me forever to decide which bookish locket to buy but I am so happy with my decision. Go take a look. They are so pretty.

Speaking of jewelry, one of my new co-workers happened to mention that she makes jewelry out of buttons. Of course I needed to buy some. Aren’t they adorable? And her prices are unreasonably affordable. She doesn’t have and Etsy shop yet but if she ever makes one I will let you know.

My food is out of the oven and I need to get ready for work. Maybe next time I’ll tell you about all the books I have bought recently.
