White Nights and Early Mornings

Things I was thinking about at 2:30 this morning
A list of the groceries I forgot to buy when I was at the store the day before.
What I am going to make for dinner tonight.
What state I would want to move to if we moved again.
What I miss about the state we used to live in.
That unkind thing I said ten years ago.
That embarrassing thing I did in elementary school.
What I would need to figure out if my husband suddenly died of a heart attack.
How I would deal with life if one of my kids suddenly developed a terrible illness.
How I would deal with life if one of my kids made a very wrong decision.
What kind of scarf I want to try to knit.
Whether I picked the right color yarn when I was at the store earlier.
Whether I should just quit my job because I have now been awake for 2 hours and I am obviously going to be too tired to work.
What I am going to do tomorrow when I miraculously have an entire day to myself.
Whether I should get a body wave in my hair.
That maybe everyone I know is just pretending to like me.
That maybe I am just pretending to like everyone.
City or country, that is the question.
If we move to a house should we allow our daughter to get pet rats even though they…are not my favorite animal.
Things I was dreaming about at 5:00 this morning
That my daughter had gotten her driver’s license and was driving my husband and me home. Suddenly a semi-truck started reversing and pushing us off the road and into the lake next to us. The front of our car was crushed, my daughter was terribly injured and my husband had a heart attack from the stress.
It was actually a relief when the alarm went off this morning. So, how was your night? And how much caffeine do you think I will need to get through the day?
