Why, Yes, My House is a Library Now

I was puttering around on Etsy the other day and came across something I absolutely had to have. Of course, this is one of the hazards of browsing Etsy but it is a hazard I willingly risk all too often. Etsy is a treasure trove of things you didn’t know existed but now desperately want. It also is full of a lot of junk but that is just the internet in general. Anyway, look what I bought and then tell me you aren’t tempted to immediately go looking for one for yourself.

Yes, I am the very proud owner of a book embosser. There are lots and lots of different ones available with all kinds of different options for patterns and wording. It took me forever to choose and I changed my mind about five million times.
For the next little while I will be happily working my way through my book collection embossing as I go. I think I will use it as an opportunity to update my online catalog of all the books I own. Emboss a book, record a book. Then I will be less likely to buy books I already own.
I really think you need a book embosser in your life. Go ahead, take a look.

Oooh I love that! Classier than the stickers I was thinking about putting in my books.

Isn’t it? I looked at stickers originally but this is so much fancier.

Very tempting. Jack’s great-aunt had a Victorian one, very ornate cast iron, but the embossing was of her house address. When we helped clear her house we left it for the new owners, I hope they appreciated it.
