I haven’t had a lot of time lately for any of my hobbies, including this blog. However, I am not giving any of them up. I’ll simply continue to fit them into the corners of my life until I can, on some glorious, unlikely day in the future, live a life of leisure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have managed to finish two knitting projects. Both of them were started spontaneously on bad days when I didn’t want to figure out too many new skills. The scarf is lovely and cheerful. I knitted a fair amount of it while watching very boring online trainings at work. The bra top turned out better than I thought, though it is shorter than I would like. I’ll just wear it layered under something. As my daughter said when I showed it to her, it looks like an actual garment. That is how we gauge success around here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started another simple project last night. My son has been surprisingly impressed with my knitting attempts and he asked if I would knit a beanie for him. He picked out a beautiful green yarn. It is knitting up so nicely. I also have yarn for my first sweater and I am hoping to start that soon if my crazy life ever allows a bit of extra time to figure out something new. I picked a sweater pattern that also has a YouTube tutorial to get me through the difficult parts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
