I know people say life is not all dreariness and drudgery but when I am cooking the five millionth meal of the week or going to the grocery store for the seven billionth time I am not totally convinced of that fact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, my recent walk to the grocery store was immeasurably improved by all the beautiful wildflowers growing beside the lake. Isn&#8217;t the way the sun slants through them lovely? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have baby deer, tiny bunnies, and young groundhogs all living in the park behind us. They are cute and fun to watch. Our resident raccoon has been back in the tree right beyond our balcony too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My favorite (only) aunt called the other day and we spent a glorious two hours setting the world to rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My daughter has chocolate hidden in her room and she has been sharing it with me. We are absolutely, definitely not telling either of the two men in the house that the chocolate exists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My daughter wanted to go swimming at the pool in our apartment complex the other day. I went down with her and sat in the shade reading my book while she swam. The pool was deserted and the hour I spent there was a respite from the unending list of things to be done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I went to Goodwill the other day on my way to the grocery store (it was only a slight detour) and found a brand new dress with the original tags. It originally cost $278. I paid $10. I am going to be riding that thrifting high for a while. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries with a sprinkle of sugar and several heaping spoonfuls of homemade whipped cream. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I bought myself prescription sunglasses. The great outdoors is now a beautiful golden glow instead of a blinding glare. Why did I not do this years ago? I was so excited I sat in my car alternately staring at the blue sky and reading the road signs in the distance. I could do both! At once! Without switching glasses!  A life of being outdoors without getting a migraine awaits me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tea and books.
