I envision myself waking up slowly, drinking several cups of tea, chatting with my husband, making a lovely lunch, reading my book for a while, and then ending the day feeling calm and able to deal with anything. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yeah, I don&#8217;t know what world I think I live in. This morning I woke up with a jerk at 6:58 to the awareness that the roads were a mess and I was going to have to leave the house to drive my daughter to school in precisely 7 minutes. Usually, she walks but the sidewalks haven&#8217;t all been cleared which would leave her walking in the middle of a main road.  I ran out the door in my leggings and t-shirt and got halfway down the road when I realized I had forgotten my glasses. I debated going back home to get them but then my daughter would have missed the bus that takes her from the local school to her technical high school so I just kept going. It was probably not my wisest decision but hey, everyone survived. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a triumph of optimism over my usual pessimism, I decided that I could still enjoy a peaceful, relaxing day as long as I made one quick phone call to the insurance company to find out why they didn&#8217;t want to cover a prescription. Yeah, I still don&#8217;t know what world I think I live in. There is no such thing as one quick call to an insurance company. One hour, multiple phone calls, and an appeal started, and I still don&#8217;t have the prescription or any optimism left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By this point, I had to go grocery shopping, pick up my daughter from the high school because the sidewalks still aren&#8217;t clear, and make dinner. A delivery I have been waiting for has been delayed.
