The sky is grey and gloomy, the tree branches are bare, and the rain is coming down in sheets. That all sounds miserable but it is surprisingly cozy. I have nowhere to go and multiple cups of tea and books calling for me today. I searched for a poem about rain and this is what I found. It seems very appropriate.  I have previously featured a poem by Raymond Carver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/17\/a-poem-for-thursday-15\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:51px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">Woke up this morning with \na terrific urge to lie in bed all day\nand read. Fought against it for a minute.\n\nThen looked out the window at the rain.\nAnd gave over. Put myself entirely\nin the keep of this rainy morning.\n\nWould I live my life over again? \nMake the same unforgiveable mistakes?\nYes, given half a chance.
