{"id":287,"date":"2016-11-22T14:35:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-22T14:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/index.php\/2016\/11\/22\/golden-moments-2\/"},"modified":"2020-10-28T02:23:20","modified_gmt":"2020-10-28T02:23:20","slug":"golden-moments-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/index.php\/2016\/11\/22\/golden-moments-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Golden Moments #2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PB110712-1024x768.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PB110712-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>A month or so ago I wrote a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/2016\/10\/golden-moments.html\">post<\/a> where I listed the golden moments of my week, the moments that made me stop and appreciate life. \u00a0I enjoyed writing it and enjoyed how it made me concentrate on the good instead of the bad. \u00a0Goodness knows there can be enough bad to concentrate on. \u00a0So here we go again. \u00a0The golden moments from my recent days.<\/p>\n<p>The walk we took as a family in the woods pictured above. \u00a0It was a beautiful day, everyone was cooperative, and they all patiently waited while I took photos. \u00a0A good time was had by all. \u00a0I love all the old stone walls throughout the woods. \u00a0It fascinates me to think about what the area looked like a few hundred years ago when this was all cleared land instead of wooded.<\/p>\n<p>The gluten-free pizza I made last week. \u00a0Gluten-free pizza is generally disgusting. \u00a0Actually, I find many gluten-free baked goods unpleasant. \u00a0Pizza is one of the things I have been having the hardest time with. \u00a0All the crust mixes have a strange texture and while bearable when first made are absolutely disgusting reheated. \u00a0When I was placing an Amazon Pantry order I added a King Arthur gluten-free pizza mix on a whim. \u00a0Then it sat in my cabinet for a few months because I was so fed up with trying gluten-free things only to dislike them. \u00a0Finally, my pizza cravings got too strong and I gave it a try. \u00a0Amazingly enough, it was pretty decent which in the world of gluten-free pizza means it was amazing. \u00a0I was very, very happy.<\/p>\n<p>My daughter telling me that she loves the smell of old books. \u00a0As I said on Twitter, my work here is done.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/20161121_145630-938x1024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.holdsuponhappiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/20161121_145630-938x1024.jpg\" width=\"586\" height=\"640\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>The copy of <i>Wind Off the Small Isles<\/i> by Mary Stewart that Lory from <a href=\"https:\/\/emeraldcitybookreview.com\/\">The Emerald City Book Review<\/a> sent me. \u00a0She knew I wanted to read it and very kindly contacted me and offered to send on her copy. \u00a0It was such a thoughtful thing to do and it brightened my whole day when it showed up in the mail. \u00a0I am saving it to read this weekend when I have some time off.<\/p>\n<p>The unexpected day off my husband and I had together in the middle of last week. \u00a0I had been having a bad day and he knew it (he couldn&#8217;t help but know it, I had spent the previous evening alternately crying and getting mad at the world. \u00a0So much fun for my family.) \u00a0so he convinced me I needed a day off. \u00a0We stayed home and watched movies, drank countless cups of tea and coffee, and ignored reality for a while. \u00a0It was blissful and left me much more able to deal with everyday life. \u00a0Maybe I should get irrationally upset a little more often.<\/p>\n<p>The new winter coat I ordered yesterday. \u00a0I always feel a bit guilty spending money on myself because the kids are continually outgrowing their clothes and I have an endless list of things they need. \u00a0However, my work requires me to be outside quite a bit and my winter coat is old and not that warm. \u00a0I found a fantastic deal online and now I can&#8217;t wait for my coat to come. \u00a0It has a hood!
