My lover&#8217;s words<\/i><br \/>\n<i>were shooting stars which fell to earth as kisses<\/i><br \/>\n<i>on these lips; my body now a softer rhyme<\/i><br \/>\n<i>to his, now echo, assonance; his touch<\/i><br \/>\n<i>a verb dancing in the centre of a noun.<\/i><br \/>\n<i>Some nights I dreamed he&#8217;d written me, the bed<\/i><br \/>\n<i>a page beneath his writer&#8217;s hands.
